Welcome to Ninell Golden Retrievers, the Ninell Kennel started in 1970
with the acquisition by me of our foundation bitch, Gyrima Pippalina, from
my cousin, the late Mrs Marigold Timson. All of our kennel’s progeny goes
back to Pippalina.
The show kennel is now jointly run by me together with our daughter
Mrs Briony Athey. We are both Championship Show judges and I also
judge abroad.
All our dogs, of which we currently have seven, live indoors as they are
primarily pets. We breed about one litter a year.
We are members of the Golden Retriever Club and therefore signed up to
its Code of Ethics. I am also a member of its Executive Committee.
We have a kennel boy called Richard who does a lot of the mucking out,
looking after the dogs when we are away at shows and generally helping
in the background. He is so useful I’ve remained married to him for over
40 years
